1) Today marks day one of our last minute renovation project for the summer. We decided that in order to maintain some amount of sanity, we needed more storage in our house (the photography props are quickly taking over…I think they multiply in the closet). So, we are tearing down a HUGE fireplace and chimney that go through the center of our house and haven’t been functional for a very long time. We will then create built in cabinets where the front of the fireplace was, and a large closet on the chimney side. Lets hope everything goes quickly, since David heads back to work on Tuesday next week!
2) Last week, I created the best dessert E.V.E.R. Homemade double chocolate chunk brownies with chocolate fudge frosting and a graham cracker/caramel crust on the bottom. I combined three different recipes to create the three different layers to my concoction, and I must say, it’s chocolate heaven! However, if you are not a fan of gagging on sugar, this may not be the dessert for you.
3) It still hasn’t quite sunk in yet that next week, David will be heading back to work without me. It is going to be very weird not to go to the high school to work every day (although I’m sure Paige and I will be there quite often to visit).
