Frequently Asked Questions

Can I get a disk of the images from my session?
Technically, yes.  However, I do not encourage it.  Our prints, wall art and other products are all made using the highest quality printing options through professional printing labs.  Our computers are calibrated to match the equipment that our labs use so that your artwork will arrive looking exactly the way it was designed to look.  If those same files are printed from a big box store, or even a local print lab or online service, the quality and color will not be the same.  Because every lab and printer will give different results, we cannot offer a guarantee on the purchase of the disk of images.  Not only will you likely end up with poor quality prints, but when others see these prints and ask who took the pictures, we do not want our reputation to be based on the quality of any printer other than the professional lab that we use and love.

Can I put my images on Facebook?
Yes!  I will provide you with a disk that has a web-sized version of each image that you order as a print or product.  These are not large enough to print, but they are the perfect size for sharing on your facebook profile.  They will also include a watermark that should not be cropped or removed from the image.  Once you have uploaded them to facebook, please tag me in the images!

What happens if I need to reschedule my session, or if the weather is bad?
Life happens.  Kids get sick, it rains when the weather report said it would be sunny, we understand that a session might need to be rescheduled.  If you need to reschedule a session, please give us as much notice as possible (at least 24 hours would be great, but if little Jane wakes up sick 2 hours before your session, please just give me a call).  I keep a close eye on the weather in the days leading up to your session, and I will let you know if it looks like there is a chance that we need to reschedule.  I will try to hold off as long as possible, because we all know that here in Oregon, the weather never stays the same for very long.  Even though it may look like rain, we might just get lucky.  So, if you don’t mind being “on call”, we will wait as long as possible before choosing to reschedule your session.  It may not seem like it, but overcast/cloudy days are actually the best for your portraits because they create the best lighting situation, so don’t think we need to reschedule just because it isn’t bright and sunny out.
